The English short story The Hare and the Tortoise

Once upon a time there was a quick hare who bragged about how fast he could run. Tired of hearing how it brags, the turtle challenges it to a race. All the animals in the forest gathered to watch.

De Haas ran along the road for a while and then stopped. He looks back at the turtle and shouts, "How do you expect to win this race if you walk slow and slow?"

The hare stretched along the road and fell asleep thinking, "There is plenty of time to relax."

The story of the hare and the turtle The turtle walked and walked and never stopped until it reached the finish.

The watching animals cheered Tortoise so hard that they woke the Hare. The rabbit stretched, yawned, and started running again, but it was too late. Tortoise is already over the finish line.

Moral: Slowly and steadily the race wins.

This is the story we all grew up with. But recently, two additions to the story have been suggested.

After being defeated by the turtle, he conducted a psychological examination. He knew that although he tried hard at the beginning, he was inconsistent and he was becoming too confident. Determined to rectify his mistakes, he invited turtles to a new race. This time the rabbit was careful to run the entire distance and of course the winner came forward.

Moral: fast and consistent can be better than slow and stable.

Well, after the loser in race two, the turtle thinks long and hard. He knows that the rabbit would win in any traditional area if he were fast and consistent. That's why he thought of a non-traditional terrain for the race. Then he invited the rabbit to a new race. This time the rabbit laughed out loud, thinking the turtle was out of his mind. But the turtle insists that there must be another race and that the terrain is determined by the turtle. The rabbit agreed to the idea.

The race started. The rabbit leads with the turtle far behind. About halfway through the race, they ran into a river. The rabbit stopped on the bank of the river and wondered how he would cross the river. Meanwhile, the turtle slowly approached the river, entered the water, swam across, climbed the other bank, ran the last few miles and won the race.

Moral: Choose a playing field that gives you a natural advantage if your skills are below the normal level.
