Proud Red Rose English short story

On a beautiful spring day, a red rose bloomed in a bush. As the rose looked around, a nearby pine said, "What a beautiful flower! I wish I was so beautiful. " Another tree said, "Dear pine, don't be sad. We can't have everything. '

The rose turns and remarks, "I seem to be the most beautiful flower in this forest."

A sunflower raises its yellow head and asks, "Why are you saying this? There are many beautiful flowers in this forest. You're just one of them. "

The red rose replied, "I see everyone looking at me and admiring me." Then the rose looked at a cactus and said, "Look at the ugly plant full of thorns!"

The pine tree said, "Red rose, what talk is that? Who knows what beauty is? You also have thorns. '

The proud red rose glares at the pine and says, "I thought you had a good taste! You don't know what beauty is at all. You can't compare my thorns to those of the cactus. "

"What a proud flower," thought the trees.

The rose tried to move its roots away from the cactus, but was unable to move. As the days passed, the red rose looked at the cactus and said insulting things, such as' this plant is useless. I'm so sorry to be his neighbor. '

The cactus never got upset and even tried to advise the rose by saying, "God did not create any form of life without purpose."

Spring was over and the weather was getting very hot. Life in the forest became difficult because there was no rain. The red rose started to fade.

One day, the rose sparrows see their beaks in the cactus and then fly away refreshed. It was confusing and the red rose asked the pine tree what the birds were doing. The pine tree explained that the birds draw water from the cactus.

"Doesn't it hurt if they make holes?" asked the rose.

Short stories - Sparrow "Yes, but the cactus will not let the birds suffer," answers the pine.

The rose opened his eyes in surprise and shouted, "The cactus has water?"

"Yes, you can drink it too. The sparrow can bring you water if you ask the cactus for help. '

The red rose feels too ashamed to ask for water from the cactus, but eventually asks for help. The cactus kindly agreed. The birds filled their mouths with water and watered the roots of the rose.
