Sam agrees. Their father decided to organize a match between the two. He asked the two boys to walk as long as possible and return home before sunset. The wealth is distributed in proportion to the distance traveled. As a rule, they could not wait to watch the time.
The next day Sam and Tom went for a walk.
It was a fairly sunny day. Sam ran slowly and steadily, while Tom broke a sprint while focused on winning the race and gaining more of his father's wealth.
Although Sam knew it would be ideal to walk as far as possible until noon and start the afternoon at home as it would take the same time to walk back home. Knowing this, Sam decided to return home by noon to get home on time.
However, with his greed to earn more wealth, Tom tried not to return after noon. He walked twice as long as Sam and thought he could return home before sunset. He hurried back when he saw the sun turn orange.
Unfortunately, he couldn't even get home halfway when the sun went down. The darkness slowly moves down his path and he has to drag his tired feet home.
